  1. Well I guess we will find out about your creditability or lack there of. I copied this and sent it off to BLM in Barstow for there response.
  2. Would you like to advise where that information came from? I personally know that the BLM had plans for the full compliment to be on hand. Unless something occurred in between Sat and now so I would be curious as to where that came from. Terry
  3. Nick and Pete, thank you for the nice comments but the props actually need to go to you two for having the ability to get the information out and to the users of the dunes. So I appreciate your comments and pat's on the back and will simply say Thank You. Terry
  4. Talk to Tony at First Choice tree service. His yard is at eastern and sunset. I got a full trailer load and about a 1/3 of a truck load( were to tired to fill it up anymore) for $80.00 Tell him you know Terry & Todd from around the corner of his house.
  5. I have a hard enough time running this damm thing much less a DVR. Accidently deleted my complete store file yesterday, had all my contacts, contracts and other stuff on it. It is now in cyber space, oh well sh*t happens. Ok I will be there earlier, wifey is out of town and I need a beer. :beer_bang:
  6. Tim, that question was asked when we got the stuff. It was free we paid to haul it to Dumont. Did the contractor have the removal built into his contract? You know the answer to that but if we wanted the stuff we had no choice and didn't have time to debate with him over it. Sometimes you just have to get it done any way you can.
  7. Yeah Staci no problem catch me on Thursday and I will give you when and where ok? Anybody else?
  8. Anybody need a ride down? I may be leaving a little bit earlier to meet the FoDD board of directors for a cup of coffee but that shouldn't be a very long meeting. I have to take my truck as I am meeting up with a guy at the BLM office who bought a quad from me at the dunes and I have to bring him a set of dirt tires. I have 3 seats available. Let me know and we can meet. Might as well save your fuel $$ for Dumont, right?
  9. Didn't know you were looking for me, you passed about 100 yards from my camp on Sat afternoon I think it was. If I had known I would have run out yelling at you like a madman Next time!
  10. Shooting anywhere near or at Dumont is illegal!
  11. It was the best weekend I have had in a long time, weather was perfect and the sand was sweet! I burned a lot of gas and had a blast. Took a group of quads out yesterday and went on a very fast ride. I think they learned that it can be a tuff job staying with a fast mover  Wore them out but had so much fun doing it. And I didn't even break a sweat! Nick I did see you but didn't click till I was past you and heading back in. Couldn't have asked for a better time, If I have to not dune for awhile this was the way to go out!!
  12. Who said I had feelings? I might have mentioned feeling someone up but never have I mentioned I had feelings!

    Fuel Prices

This is coming from somebody that just bought the worst fuel mileage truck in existence? What are you thinking that you should get a break cause you want one? You been hanging around a certain casino mogul to much! Your thought process is not quite in line with what is going on in the world, if you look at the areas of China and india you will see that their ecomomies are exploding and more people can afford cars and that means more fuel. The old adage of supply and demand is at work and will continue. It is not the president's fault it is the global ecomomy and the lack of Americans and American companies shipping our jobs overseas and us buying toxic crap from other countries IE Chinese toys, copys etc. If the President released the oil reserves and then the crap really hit the fan what would we do then walk? The actual amount of oil held in reserve would lower the actual at the pump price less than 25cents per gallon. Do we really want that risk in this unstable world, I think not but I am getting more conservitive in my old age C'mon Ash, be glad you can afford to pay to fill that monster up. there are people who have to buy it in small amounts till a heck clears or the tips roll in. We are fortunate to be so lucky to have what we have and we should be happy campers, not saying I like getting screwed over but it is what it is in this case. Also remember that your company is heavily involved in these emarging markets and that gives you job security to fill that monster up, see what goes around sort of thingy By the way can i borrow a cpl bucks I need to fill the motorhome up
  14. Bob, I doubt any trips for me until Jan. maybe as late as Feb. With the new store opening 12-10 and training the week before I doubt I will have a day off much less a weekend for awhile. I am thinking that I might be able to make a day trip on New years day as the shop will be closed. What a time to open a new business the car is running so good, oh well I will get there as often as I can this year and lots next year. :shocked2:
  15. Yeah I do camp out by #9. Stop over and we will go out!
  16. We will be leaving about 4-5. So should be there about 7:30 at the latest. Ken is going out earlier and Todd will have his new Weekend Warrior mansion there sometime Friday afternoon. Terry
  17. Always looking for some other rails to go for a run with. Anybody going out this weekend?
  18. Well Tim I guess a thanks is in order for the back handed compliment. Let's see what can I tell you that we do, let's see i have been to the sand show along with almost all of of our board of directors for the last 3 years but I haven't seen the sand show for the last 3 years. The planning for the clean up is about a 3-4 month ordeal and most of the BOD puts in quite a bit of effort. The fringe toed lizard alarm was first bought to the BLM and the TRT by the FoDD before it became public knowledge it was discussed and put out by the president of the organization. The BOD have confrence calls on a as needed basis which ties up quite a bit of time when there is something that needs to be taken care of. The web site (although in need of revision) was put together by the board along with handeling all the flack that comes with it. Our biggest job is recruiting new members and that's why we did away with the fee to join. We believe that we need everybody's attention and that can't be accomplished without being able to contact them and having members willing to do the work. (here's your return of the back hand)so are you an active member or just watchin from the sidelines like everybody else? We need people who are willing to take the rein and go forward. I cannot commit to how much time i can spend in the near future on FoDD as I have a new business opening and I have to place priorities where they are needed. (at least that's what the wifey says) I hope this answers your question Love ya man!
  19. I will be there outin the boonies by #9
  20. Just so you know Pete I e mailed Nick last week about Rick fisher our treasuer getting ahold of him to get Nick the info he needs to get going on the project again. If Nick hasn't heard anything I also gave Nick Rick's e mail or let me know and I will touch with Rick again.
  21. Was kinda my point. I believe the vendor was looking for a soultion to a problem and that's the first thing he found. I don't blame him, he see's a need and is looking to fill it Even so i wasn't to happy about it either.
