Jim, personally I think you could have accomplished more with a straight " sorry that happened to you, we've made changes to make sure it does not happen again" The problem with some organazitions is they just don't know when to be quiet and listen! -

Maybe you should look at volunteering at Friends of Dumont Dunes booth or even ignore the SSSS and join and volunteer to help with committees, membership drives etc.You can do this from home or your general area and I guarantee that you will get no hassle from the Board of Directors of FoDD! We receive no benies so there's none to latch onto. Cost just $24.00 to join FoDD also. :eatdrink021: -
Both are nice trailers and I know people who have them. The Weekeend Warrior all have one complaint that is common, Service dept. at wheelers totally sucks! I think if you look around you can find a less inexpensive used trailer. This is the season. I bough a nice Salem 20' about a year and a half ago for less that $7500.00 and it works great. I personally wouldn't want to tow it with a 1/.2 ton but I guess you could.

Ash, it looks like there working you to death! I will personally write Mr. Wynn a letter complaining of your cruel and unusual work conditions. I only hope you can hold on until your time is up and you return home so we can go DUNING!!!!

Rules at Glamis are different than Dumont. At Glamis you can burn pallets but can't dump greywater. At Dumont you can dump greywater but can't burn pallets.

I used to go thru Teocopa every time. But since I got the big trailer I go thru Paharump. Easier on the equiptment and the dog dosen't get carsick!

Maybe Clay from their west store can help you with it as far as getting you into their shop up west and taking care of you. I know the Henderson store sucks but I spoke with him at the night drags and he seemed to want to build a better reputation with the old sportswest store.

Please DO NOT use the dumpsters in Tecopa. It puts a strain on the county of Inyo's budget and the BLM has had to step in and pay (with your $) to have more dumpster service. If we stop using the tecopa dumpsters we can stop funding the service. It's only 80 miles to home from there, can't you just take it home? But thatnks for picking it up in the first place!

My understanding is that the fire crew/ambulance out of Baker is staffed by prisoners from the correctional facility in Baker. Closest hospital is Barstow but ambulance comes out of Baker.

I believe closest medical facility to Dumont is Barstow but if you want decent medical treatment then Vegas is the closest. Closest Trauma Center is UMC in Las Vegas. About 100 miles as the chopper flies.

Apparently the camping spots in the lot go very quickly. Dunes is a nice place near resturants. www.newportdunes.com

i am not sure but I believe you have to be a vendor to get into the parking lot overnight. If this isn't the case let me know? We are thinking of reserving a spot at Newport Dunes Rv Park in Newport Beach. It's about 6 miles away and is a very nice place right on the bay.

I have the Sparks on my 04. Never had an issue with it. Runs good and seems to stay together.

Most cars that have an afterthought windshield have cooling problems. Interupts the air flow that the cooling systen was designed for. How about a full face helmet? Or Grin and bear it like I do!
