we used to go to rosarito beach baja about 25 miles south of TJ on the coast. no one ever wanted the hassle to drive across the border. so we would park on the US side and walk across and catch a cab down to rosarito. several times it took 2 taxis to fit everyone in. so to start the trip off right i would tip the driver to beat the other taxi to the hotel. made for some scary fun times cutting traffic thru downtown TJ and the cliffs on the edge of town.

one cool thing for me is i can set up a mini wifi area anywhere clear has signal. (any city too) would come in handy at work when we have a lot of down time. they also have a USB modem but with my Iphone i dont need that. i would like to be able to take the satellite with me in the hauler sometimes but that can be done with both systems. will call both tomorrow sometime there websites arent as helpful as they could be!

i have been talking to the new MAXFI internet provider CLEAR clear.com and i think i will be going with them for my internet. i hate cox communication and want to dump them all together. so i have just started looking at satellite for tv. would like to hook up 3 tvs but 2 could be hooked together. dont need the movie channels but i would like the speed channel. never have had either dish network or direct tv. any opinions.

we hear you wally but like has been spoken before the people that leave trash and dont care arent the ones reading this and arent likely to change. we scream and shout about it we repeat the slogan "pack it in pack it out" we all know there is no excuse if you had room to bring it to the dunes you have room to take it out of the dunes. and most of us spend a day picking up trash (clean up weekend) let alone all the other times that riding had to stop to collect trash. so i would say the majority of the people reading this are on your side wally. most of the trash in the dunes are water bottles and beer cans. what if water bottles and soda and beer cans where banned outside the camping area ........... :?:

been trying to weather this downturn. i am a stagehand working in the convention industry. this is as slow as i have ever been i wasnt even down this long after 9/11. starting to think if i can come out of this with my house, quad, and credit score (the trailer and truck are next to go) i will be lucky. gets depressing!

a few years ago we ran our quads out at the sloan go cart track. on my banshee i ran front shocks with no springs and we ratchet strapped the rear down making it ridged. and street slicks. a little ghetto but was a cheap set up (other then the tires) for the limited track time.
