FireKracker Posted November 5, 2013 Share Posted November 5, 2013 I have a honda 3.5 in mine and we usually go out 10-12 times a year. I change the oil at least once in the beginning of the season and maybe once in December. I don't use a very high grade oil when I do because it gets changed before the viscosity breaks down. andydew Posted November 6, 2013 Share Posted November 6, 2013 About every 2 trips for me as well. N/A LS1. I don't ever change because of how hard the engine worked, or a break down in viscosity... It's a contaminant issue. All the dust and sand we drive thru eventually gets in there and wreaks havoc....IMO. Oil is cheap, a rebuild would be another story.
