Don29palms Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I'm thinking about getting this truck. It's a 2001 Dodge 2500 4X4 Sport. V10 with auto trans. This thing is fully loaded. $14K OTD. Quote
dunefreak Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 That sounds like a pretty good deal, but V10? Otherwise, looks way nice. Quote
Sincity_blondie Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Looks really nice Don!!! V10? Wow!! You should go for it!!! Quote
Don29palms Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 That sounds like a pretty good deal, but V10? Otherwise, looks way nice. According to Dodge, the V10 that year had more towing capacity than the diesel. It also comes with a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. Quote
MAXDOUT Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 THE GAS MILEAGE IS GOIN SUCK I HAD A CREW-CAB CHEVY 454, THE POWER WAS GREAT...BUT I COULNT PASS A GAS STATION. :mc_smiley: Quote
EY3BA11 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I loved my 1/2 ton dodge... wish i didnt get rid of it... but the 8mpg were killin me in that 318.. Quote
Randog Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Looks nice Don. Can't beat the price. Especially with that warranty. How many miles though? I had this 93' Ford with a 460ci, It got 6 gallons to the mile That was around town. It actualy did lots better on the highway. The tires killed the mileage. So you gettin a hauler? :mc_smiley: Quote

I got approved for the financing but still have to work out a few details. i know the gas mileage will suck but it can't be any worse than what I already am getting with the motorhome. My motorhome only gets about 7mpg anyway and it is a diesel. Not a very good diesel. Edited October 24, 2006 by Don29palms Quote

Don29palms Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 (edited) I got the new truck the day before Halloween. This truck is a Beast. Fully loaded with all sorts of options. I just filled up the gas tank today and checked the mileage. 11.7 miles per gallon after 360 miles. My 1/2 ton 4X4 only got about 12 to 13 mpg so needless to say I'm happy with that.
