Hope all is well. Yes cell phone and I'd a must. Even if you take a moderate ride accidents happen. Just never know.

Just post up when you will be out and I am sure you will find a group willing to ride with you. Usually the big weekends there is a meet and Greet at the South pole. Good place to mingle and find a group to go on a ride. After the meet and greet we usually do a nice run to the North pole across the dunes. Give it a shot. Welcome aboard.

What Paul said makes sense. Mine does the same water and the gas tanks make a sprung spring sound when filling. Not too sure about just sitting though.

i Had use a Tent once in Dumont. It was an experience to this day I will never forget. Dumont is well known of 50MPH wind at night and imagine sleeping in a Tent which is actually a like a parachute. I had me and my Brother along with an Ice Chest Full of Beer and a Tool Box about 75 Lbs. We called it a night and hopped in the tent. Well I cannot say we slept we woke up the next morning about 100 yards from my Truck and trailer. Ever since I will sleep in my truck if out alone but that night I knew I had to have a Hauler. As they say a Day at Dumont is better than any day at work or sitting at home. Have Fun.

I am sure you will not be alone. Bring some anchors/ weights to keep the tent from going air born. Either way you will have a good time

I do not think the Rails Camp//hang out in a certain area. You will find them in all areas within the camping spots. Have Fun.

Musty make pulling that trailer nice and smooth. 4X4 is always a good option to have.
