  1. hit and run becomes a felony if any injuries are substained dui is a misdemeanor, but will cost alot of money in the long run
  2. Nice Car, I think the wing will keep the rear end down through the dunes!
  3. The criminals are going to visit the nice areas because there are quality vehicles, people with nice stuff inside their houses, and much more to steal. Criminals don't go to the ghetto to steal something nice! Almost no matter where you purchase a home there will be crime, and probably section 8 too. Don't forget this website for sex offenders in your area. http://www.icrimewatch.net/index.php?Agenc...54122&disc= :beer_bang:
  4. I am not hating on bakersfield! Just because the guy owns something does not mean he wouldn't leave stuff behind at dumont and if you look at my last post I said that I am almost certain....but it is always a possible that I am wrong. There are not many fords that look like that one, very distint with that white suspension set up.
  5. So i was looking on race-dezert.com and found the white ford truck that almost certain left the easy up as trash at dumont. What is the chance that would happen. Shows the owner is a guy named Brett from bakersfield. So if anyone knows this guy he left trash at dumont so the dunes can get closed. http://www.race-dezert.com/cgi-bin/trader/...nd&id=22525
  6. my father in law has been diesel mechanic/engineer for a long time and he always suggested to change the filter every 10,000 miles. I buy my filters on the internet and change them for about 40 bucks.
  7. Anyone do home ac service? My house is only 3 years old and I just want to get a service to keep it in good working condition. Give an idea what it will cost me to. Thanks
  8. California is probably going to start getting strick on the back seats laws because of all the lawsuits involved with the Rhinos. I know in the past family members have been given tickets for riding doubles...a long time ago this was not an issue.
  9. well they started with a kawi, but most everything has been either modified or redone.
  10. My father in law designed the pump for the HDT diesel bike for the military. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/news/0604dp_...ycle/index.html http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive...rs/4229604.html
  11. My wife got hit turning into her driveway, the girl passed her on the right as my wife was making a right turn. Well we had to sue to get anything because the girl lied about the whole thing. Two years later and we got some money, but what a pain in the a#$. Never want to do that again. Hopefully you can settle with out a lawyer, but look at the statute of limitations on the time frame for a lawsuit. You do not want to settle until you are recovered completely, and you know how much your vehicle repairs are going to be.
  12. most battery shops have them, like 15-20 a piece. I bought mine in north las vegas.
  13. Looking for someone who can hook up breakers at my house. I need to hook one up for a spa and the other for some electrical applications in the back yard. Maybe a DDR member is an electrican? Let me know what this would cost me.
  14. I just bought myself a new camera, the Cannon S5IS. The thing works great, it is one step below an SLR. I talked to my buddy who was big into photography, also was a video editer and he said that the cannons are probably the best digital point and shoot cameras. The reviews I found on the net were positive. Anyways I will stop rambling on. I like best buy, but circuit city has better prices on their cameras.
  15. The lojak has a whole bunch of sensors placed all over a car/rhino or whatever. This makes it almost impossible to remove. Once the owner calls lojak and has it activated, a cop car can pick up a signal if it is within a few miles of their vehicle. Most vehicles with lojak are recovered. you can't just turn someone in for being in your campsite area, you would need something more than that.
  16. I have the trojan 6volts, you can not go wrong with these batteries. I researched alot of rv sites and they all said the trojan batteries are the the best. I have been very happy with them. Can't remember what I paid, but there is a battery shop in North town that sells them.
  17. I was looking for a remote start/keyless entry for my 04 Ford F250, diesel. Any opinions would be appreicated. I usually do most of my own upgrades on my truck myself, but an alarm messes with alot of wires. So I was wondering, is there anyone on this board that does installs on alarms?
  18. every year my family watches the movie Christmas Vacation, its a tradition.
  19. My wife, my friend and I were camped near bathroom six and there was a camp that consisted of a white f2/350 lifted about 8-10inches. Well it got windy on Sat night and on Sun morning the camp with that truck was gone, except for a complete EASY UP that was bent to hell. Talk about pricks, can't even clean up there own stuff. These are the type of people that ruin the desert for the good people. Anyways I wasn't going to let them ruin it for me so I went over there and dissasembled it and took it home. The truck again was a white f250/f350, probably 06, that was lifted quite a bit, and the front suspension set up was painted white. The front suspensions radius arms were made out of multiple tubing. guy in the white truck look at my new post-----found the guy selling his truck on another site!
  20. the wife and i are going for the first trip of the year this weekend
  21. I would like to go to dumont on the 26th, but we will be going for sure that next weekend. My first trip of the year.
