I just picked up the 'Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite' ($50 on Amazon). So far it has everything I will ever need. There are alot of things on it that are going to take some time to figure out, but so far the basics seem fairly easy to use. I threw together a quick and easy tester and it looks pretty good so far. My only complaint so far is I cant open the new edited movie in a regular "Player" on the computer, but I dont think I finalized it properly. I am going to put togther some mountain bike footage I took last week, I'll post it up when finished.

Damn, I was just thinking about it today. I'm going to try and swing up there on sunday!!!

So I got me one of them fancy dancy GoPro camera dealies. Took it for my first run yesterday on some mountain biking runs, got some great footage of the camera falling off my seat, and laying in the trail for an hour before I found it, thank god for the WiFi, I used my phone to sniff out the signal as I rolled down the trail, once I found the signal, Ron looked right at it laying in a bush on the side of the trail. Thank God! So anyway, I have this Pinnacle Studio 12 software that wont read the MP4 files. I have tried converting to other formats for it to read and nothing!!! After reading reviews on the Studio 16 (newer version) I will not be sticking with this Pinnacle brand, even though GoPro says they have had good reviews with it. Anyways, I want to know what you have used and what works. I dont need all the fancy doo dads, just want to cut and add some killer jams that I wont be allowed to post on youtube! BTW, I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit. I'm looking forward to all of your entertaining input!!!

Funny story about your buddy Jason, He worked at the same bike shop I started at (Covina Valley Cyclery) before I worked there. Then I hear Ron talk about him one day at the shop, and now you know him. Anybody else want to jump in and say they know him!!!

If all of your stickers and lights and everything else is in order, then you have nothing to worry about, Right??? If they stop and "Harrass" you, technically they are just doing thier job to make sure EVERYONE is following the rules. If the LEO's randomly stop someone simply to check if they have proper tags, and then find out that - that driver has had a few too many beers...I dont care if thats the only stop all year that actually provides results, They did thier damn job to make Dumont a little safer for everyone. Sandawg has it right!!! You need to bring solutions to the table. BLM is known to check this site and others, they are reading all of this. If you want to make a difference, go to the meetings and voice your concerns. One of my first posts on this site was about "Camp Racers". There are way too many people going way to fast and coming way too close for safety. What I would like to see is a LEO just sitting in plain sight in the major thouroughfares to help prevent and enforce the 15mph within 50' law (I think it's 50'). Set it up like a speedtrap on the highway. People tend to slow down when the LEO's are visible. I cant easily make the BLM meetings otherwise I would be there to offer this SOLUTION, maybe someone could bring it up for me at the next meeting. Bottom line, if you are following the rules, you have nothing to worry about! You may not like the rules or paying extra for a sticker, but you have to pay to play, having fun in this day and age means opening your wallet, I would get used to it, I dont see it getting any cheaper!

Well, looks like were out for the 2nd weekend. Tamdizzle works at a shop where nobody can apparently take charge of themselves and be responsible enough to manage themselves for a few days. Bunch-a-dumb azz college morons!!! The work ethic in the town is pathetic!!! Anyways, we will figure out another date!

Have you put it up on Pinkbike and Ridemonkey??? Those are both the big mountian bike sites. Also, get pictures of the drive side, people want to see the drivetrain components and condition of them. Good luck, definitely a fair price.

Alright, Principal Pete told me to do my homework so here I am checking on the 70 Regatta. It really sucks that it has to be such a pain-in-the-a$$, I wish I could have made it to 1 of the others. Oh well! So should the 2nd weekend of February (Weekend before Pres. Day weekend) be the weekend where everyone goes to Dumont on thier own accord and brings thier 70's and just so happens to meet up and take a ride to one of the Poles??? I would like to meet up with some DDR peeps on my one and only Dumont trip this year. How about it???
