Welcome to the site. :freakin_nuts: Since your heading down to San Diego, Dumont is a lil' bit out of the way for you. Glamis is about 2 hours from SD if your looking for sand dunes. One of the biggest riding areas in the country and a constant party. Good luck on finding a ride and have fun out there.

Why don't you just use Azzhat or something like that. I know that when I start showing up to the Meet & Greets wearing my favorite hat that happens to have a flatbill on it, people are going to have a automatic assumption that I'm a jerkoff and won't wan't to talk and make friends with me. After reading this whole thread top to bottom, I see alot of good points and everyone will have their own opinion no matter what. I don't like the cones or tape on top of the fingers but I don't mind when they are a few feet from the top. On new years I had my buddy who has never ridden before so I took him on the first ride along the top of the fingers. Low and Behold, he got tangled up in some dudes caution tape that was strung to the very top and the guy came out yelling at him. I thought that was , I told the guy that he should lower his tape a few feet to let people who want to ride the top of the dunes, and that he would have plenty of room for the kiddies. I never went back by his camp so I don't know if he did anything about it. I know he was trying to protect his kids from the a-holes that race along those fingers but why not leave some room for them go by somewhat safely rather than block them and make them have to get all crossed up and possibly crash or be the cause of one. Out of the 15,000 or so peeps you have in Dumont on a big weekend, you are going to have azzhats. That's a fact, get used to it. Go back and find my first thread from october about camp racers, I wasn't very happy with them. We just have to learn to deal with it. If you see cones or stakes or whatever puts your panties in a bunch, try talking to someone in that camp and inform them about it and they just might listen and do something about it. Some people just need to be informed.

Yeah, I thought about it some more and it was a white one with a black and red flame kit on it, I think he even rolled it at the bottom after I raced him, didn't see what happened but saw the quad on it's side and him on the floor. He wasn't hurt, maybe just a bruised ego though.

I raced you a few times saturday at dusk, you took me everytime I think but not by much. I effed up the first start and bogged it since I take off in 2nd. I was in black and white fox gear and grey helmet with a black iron cross whip. I won a few races against some piped yfz's and trx's. I was pretty happy. I'm only running a K&N, no spark arrester and 13t gear. Can't wait to see how I do with the cherry bomb.

That's the general consensus yes.

I can testify truthfully that I saw actual girls on it, fully clothed though. It was on a trailer and they rolled though the 2nd row when I was there. I didn't see anyone else on it though.

Trying not to rant, but I almost hit 3 glass bottles goin through the whoops at comp on sunday. I thought about picking them up but couldn't with lines goin off every 10 seconds. I didn't get a flat so no harm no foul, just gotta deal with the azzhats.

It is super comfy. It fits perfect. I like all the pockets inside and the pass thru port for cables that hook up to cig lighters in the truck, ran the air pump thru it. One of the guys that camped with us actually just bought the newer one for $250. I don't know that he liked hearing that I bought it barely used for half that. Everyone thought it was brand new. I know a few of my friends want them now.

Tell me about it! :angry2: It just plain sucks here in LA. I've been certified to work for local 12 special inspection since april and I applied over 2 years ago. I don't foresee work to pick up for at least another year or two. Everyone I talk to in my classes are in the same boat. Luckily I got my new job which is giving me breathing room and play money.

What an AWSOME weekend. My best weekend on the sand ever. Camped with some friends from here in Covina and had an absolute blast. Pulled in Friday night and found a nice big spot by crapper 6 for our camp to spread out, that didn't last long seeing as how my friends didn't pull in till 1:30 am. Why do people need to find a spot 30' away from you when there is plenty of room 100' feet away, maybe a new rant topic? Saw Dunefreak and company roll by camp Friday night, you guys looked like you were on a mission to find a good spot. Made it to the Meet and Great saturday on bigtruckdrmr's 250 ex, complete with the "Dune Princess" whip. She was riding my LTR and got seperated on the way over to the South Pole so I was stressing for awhile untill my buddy went and found them back at camp. I wasn't able to relax and talk to people untill she made it. Looked around and found the DDR peeps we camped with last time, good to see you guys again. And that Truggy was sick, nuff said. Finally geared and pulled out the butt plug on the LTR. 1st time I was able to hold my own up comp and actullay win a few races. Beat a few bolt on yfz's and trx's Still need the cherry bomb and I'm set. Jumped farther and higher then ever in the past. The truck tent I bought from ISBB worked great, thanks again nick. Wish I could have stayed untill monday but had to work. Can't wait for the next trip, have to decide between Glamis and D for easter weekend, depends on what friends I can round up.

I saw that crash right after it happened. I stopped to see if I could help but there were already 5 people helping out and I didn't want to get in the way. He was on the ground for awhile. I left the hill after that, I didn't want to try my luck. That's bad to hear, I hope he recovers well.
