  1. the name is big brand tire company. Df and ISBB......whadoya think I was all over on the internet @ the tire shop........PORNOGRAPHY ???:freakin_nuts:
  2. right now, I am sitting @ a tire shop, having my tires rotated, and they have internet for their customers. I wish more places would do that, like the Dr.s office, dentist, pretty much anywhere you have to wait for an extended period of time
  3. the guy that builds them is over on ATV connection, in the can-am thread. Ds days were held @ little Sahara, Ut, where, allegedly, he mopped up the compitition with his newest bike that he built, including the stretched and milled 'shees and when the guys that specifically drove thier trailer to the hill to unload, load up their drag bikes, loaded them up for the day, dude just duned back to camp :eatdrink021: ACEISBACK went to DS days this year, and met the guy. he knows who I am talking about. If the guy at dumont was running sand skates, which, imo, are more for duning than hillshooting, then that could explain why he was spinning the tires. I still think that if he had 26" extremes, he would have been doing much better
  4. ok I know it is a long way out, but I will be @ dumont from thursday, Feb 1st until Sunday, Feb 4. I will be more than happy to park my truck, during the day, at the base of comp hill, with the banner in the back. all day, if need be. I think ones are needed on the way in too. I bet if someone talks to the rangers, they would be all for it. question...how do the establishments @ death valley get their trash dumped? @ oceano, right at the entrance, there are 3 huge trash bins. I am thinking :north_pole: of how much it would cost to have the trucks that go to death valley also come into dumont to pick up the trash??? just a thought.
  5. are they of the skat trak persuasion, or another brand?
  6. yeah, that was one he built like over a year ago. sand geekos huh when I bought my DS, they came with it, and I soon learned that even on a stocker, they didn't get the job done because ofthe torque of the DS, most people with them run the skat trak extremes in a 22" or larger. " I would imagine that the BUSA DS would need the 26" extremes. :north_pole:
  7. yeah, the best thing you can teach him is....................................... adaptation!!! :no_no:
  8. that was probably a bike from the guy I told you about.....stuffin busas in a DS frame . could have been his gearing too, as well as the tires. that is the thing about fabbin up home made bikes....you gotta do your homework..... :north_pole:
  9. there needs to be like 10 signs down that road saying that. also, maybe coordinate with the rangers about people leaving trash. like maybe they get their permit yanked, and they have to go home??? I do like the sign in the back of the truck. maybe we can all take turns putting the sign in the back of our truck, driving it over to comp, and leaving it there for a couple hours? :north_pole:
  10. it is all about responsibility people. 15 yrs ago, before being married, and starting a family, I could see it One beer (I don't drink on a regular basis, but have been known to go on the "occasional" three day bender!!!!!), and the toys are locked up in camp, and it is time to relax. while duning, there is so much more going on around you than while driving on a paved street, that has stoplights, and crosswalks, and speedlimits. I have noticed that, in the dunes, 99percent of what goes on around you, you are not in control of. that is a chance I am NOT going to take. this is from a person that got a DUI over 13 yrs ago. just my .02 also, if there are people out in the dunes doing gaggers of crank, and all shroomed up, then it will only be a matter of time before those people make a mistake while under the influence in the dunes. can you say glorified headlines??? :north_pole:
  11. turbo kits, as well as EFI kits for the DS650 have been around for a couple years now. It seems that the turbo, from what I have read about them, does well not only on the hill, but also duning.
  12. Got to take the ranger to Oceano yesterday to get some sand action in WOW That thing fkng rocks!!! took the tires down to 6psi all the way around, and couldn't find anything that I couldn't go up in low awd dumont dunes are a different story though the ranger has the ability to carve pretty well, as well as transition, and holding a line the suspension was more than adequate cannot wait for the next trip!!
  13. after reading the posts in this thread about who is faster in the dunes, all I have to say is........................ I have a child and a wife that depend on my income every day to do what we do. Can I go fast through the dunes? yes I can does it ramp up the possibility of me getting hurt, or possibly dying ? by a huge percentage. don't get me wrong, I like going fast and all, but I also have to enjoy my life OUTSIDE of the dunes too.
  14. you tried fullerton sand sports yet? I got my extremes for my DS cheaper through them then I could get them through Skat trak 714 484-5977, tell joe that jason from bakersfield said what is up
  15. I let my wife go on my DS650 one time, and she came back white as a ghost. she had the front end up, hit the bar, and back down, then down a dune @ oceano. those kaw 700's are nice, no shifting, just punch and go......tons of aftr market mods too. they are selling for around 4000 and less used on EBAY all the time she doesn't like quads any more. have your wife sit on all three to see which one is more ergonomic for her. can you test ride in your area? do that too.

  22. you have any pics of the install? I need to do mine......my 19' attitude is draggin my hd jk pics would be nice, so when we decide to go bigger, i don't have to pay some turd world invader to effe up my truck, and steal all my chit out of my truck.............azzholes
