I told him quite awhile back that I didn't want to go. I used to love to go and we always tailgated and spent the afternoon there but the kids have basebal and I don't really like dealing with crowds anymore so I told him I would pass. Glad he gave them to you he always gets good seats and the last time I went with him we ended up in the Pressbox at the top of the tower. That was neat as you could see the entire track at once. Have fun!!

Yeah you ended up with my tickets, But I had told B370 I didn't want to go but that it's here I find myself wanting to see the show. Oh yeah I can watch it live on TV from my house and drink good beer that doesn't cost 6.00 per cup!! Have fun!!

The guys from "JUST FOR FUN" bluegrass band are getting together at 6 tonight at the shop to play. If you like fun music and are looking for a "cheap date" this is it. Good way to start off your evening and have a little fun before going on to other things. Hope to see you there! I saw To Kill a Mockingbird when I was about 8 (yes that was a long time ago) and ever since then I don't watch horror films or films where sh*t jumps out from the dark! Yeah I may be a movie wimp but I was terrified after seeing that movie and never forgot it. :ah:

The next TRT meeting will be held May 5th at the Barstow Field office. Apparently there were problems with getting people to drive to Vegas so they have made it on Tuesday 5-5-09 at 10:00 AM at the field office. Anyone from Vegas want ing to go is welcome to drive down with me. Terry

Ok I will jump in, I hate people in their cars at Costco, Sam's etc who take up the whole lane as they wait for someone to unload their groceries and back out of a spot closer to the store. Then when you finally get by there is an open space like 2 spaces up. You park and walk by them as they waddle outa their car to the store. I hate that! :freakin_nuts:

Funny thing about tips is being on the other side and watching an employee go way out of their way to accomadate the customers request or expections and then they get stiffed. I know it's a coffee shop and a drive thru but no matter what if the service is good leave them something for their effort. Case in point- we had to change to a different credit card server and you no longer have to sign your credit slips, nor can you leave a tip on the credit card. Kids tips went down 30% in a week do you think the service was 30% poorer? No I think people were just to lazy to reach in their pockets and leave a buck. I feel for you Pete but the only thing is I would have been late to the show and had a long talk to the GM at the resturant. If one of my employees chased someone out into the parking lot to inquire about a tip their check would be ready when they came back in! If you don't let management know they cannot fix it. I make sure all complaints are handeled by me at my store and I belive that the customers who had issues appreciate it because they all still come in. If I was you I would call the resturant today and advise them of the situation, in this economy they will fix it I would bet. It is worth your time in my HO

I just received this from Roxie and the April 21st meeting has been postponed and may be moved to Vegas for the next meeting only depending on the feedback from the members availability. Also since the last meeting the Desert Advisory Committee (DAC) has decided that the TRT needs to be a sub group in order to fit federal guidelines. Therefore positions are up for the sub group if you want to apply to represent a speciality group such as NV or Ca OHV advisor etc. I will update you all on when the rescheduled date and place is for this meeting. First of all the TRT is only an advisory commitee and has no power to tell BLM what to wish for or what to request grant money for. I cannot speak for the other TRT members but I have repeatedly been against any more fencing then is needed to control incursions into specific areas of concern. I will oppose total fencing with my last breath! However it is not only my voice that is listened to. That is why there is a comment section on the grant requests for you to let them know your for the grant or not or that you would support limited fencing. As for prices and holidays that will be discussed at this meeting and the only one that I think is being considered being removed is MLK weekend. It must be pointed out that this year has shown a 35% reduction in pass sales and traffic into the area, if that should change in the future they do have the right to add holiday's back on and change the prices according to needs to cover expenses. We will see what we can do about a Sat meeting just prior to the next season starting. Terry

Razor road was a blast, little of everything from sand to rock crawling and planes in the middle of the desert.

I am going to razor road this weekend with the Dunes and Trails ATV club. Sat. ride is 60 miles. I am sure anyone is welcome if you want to make the trip. It's about 10 miles outside of Baker. They also have lots of other rides planned and I want to tag along to find some new riding places for day and weekend trips.

Steve, yes the mat was donated by Johnnie walker's RV along with 3 other mats and 3 flags and flag poles with holders. Call Wes Walker and tell him how much you appreciate it, they help us every year and are great supporters! Congratulations!

Jill I would rather you purchased something for the raffle instead of cash. I am thinking we may do a 50/50 raffle to raise a little cash and have some extra going on.

Rebecca, it's been tuff going this year for sure. I have some stuff from a few vendors across the country but the local guys are pretty tight. If anybody has a connection with any of the shops etc please ask them for help! I also have flyers if anybody wants to get them out. I am doing the best I can but with the shop my spare time is very limited so I need some HELP!!!!
