dune season to-do check list

I just thought it would be a good idea to start a list of things to start thinking about getting ready for dune season. Ya know, the things that oftens get overlooked like changing the genny oil, checking to see you are due for a chain/ sprocket set, etc.

I'll start. Try and copy/ paste the list and keep it going if possible. :dumbass:

-check trailer tires for separation/ proper air pressure

-generator oil/ filter/ maintenance

-current OHV stickers on all toys

-whips/flags that are in decent shape

-air filters on anything & everything with a motor

-new gloves? ditch those old holey ones

-check batteries on bikes and trailer that have been sitting

-check flashlights for fresh batteries

-propane levels

On our to-do list

- replace all of the gas lines/hoses before the season

- replace the valves on the black/gray tanks and a cracked water line

- reseal the roof after we fix the front cap

- sanitize all the water lines and tanks

One thing our neighbor showed us last year was the water heater anode rod, keeps the tank from rotting from the inside out. Camping World carries the replacements and a cleaning accessory to get all the gunk out of the water heater.

Everything, all rolling stock is serviced and ready to roll to the dunes.

Tire and rim conditions are the BFD this year.

Trading in the RV for a new one.

Need more room.

So getting the new one dialed in and duneworthy will be the big project over the next 10 weeks.

Our 9 year old is insisting on moving up to a Raptor 250 so the first and second trip will be a "learn-to-shift" little dunes trip.

Don't forget to bring a tow strap, saves us everytime! Ohh and jumper cables are always a good thing leaving the radio and lights on in the truck tends to drain all the power. Might not happen often but when it does its a good thing to have! :beerpint:
