Took out the new car

Well I got out to the area about 5:30 and it was a tad bit warm. Unloaded the car and drove around a bit till my friends showed up. Did some night driving and alot of drinking was done by my friends back at camp. I had a whopping 4 beers all night. they were doing wheelie contests @ 2:30am with a 80cc quad and all were trashed on CPT. Morgan and Parrot Bay. That was a good time in itself. We got up at 6 and went out for some riding. I found out the paddles weren't holding air so I left the rock tires on and still did good out in the sand, got stuck one time. We found this abandoned building and checked it out for a while and the 2 "youngins" decided to climb to the top.

We were there about 13 hours total and I think I got about 40-50 miles on the car out there. It ran great! No problems with the motor. I need to work on the suspension settings but thats to be expected. I have some video I will work on getting onto youtube in the next couple days and I will get more pics of me jumping when my friend downloads his camera.

Enjoy the pics!!!!

P.S. I LOVE MY SECOND PICTURE!!!!!

Great pictures, Tim! :laughoff:

I'm glad the car did good for you. I can't wait to go on some runs with you at Dumont. :beerpint::beerpint: Make sure your buddy with the truggy comes out with you whenever you make it back out. :DDRrocks: That thing looks sweet too. :D

Oh yeah...and the 2nd pic rocks! :D:grin:

It does seem like a long time since I started the build...but it was only like 6 months.

I am up for taking you on a ride Paul.

and Jess the tires were rock hard, my mistake I didn't air down. But the pic makes it look level but I was infact on a small rise and I didn't want to become a Mendeola reverse casualty so I waited for manual help to arrive. Check your PM's I have a question for you.

You know I think your going to like the car a whole lot better aired down-There's nothing funner than finding an area where things are remote and abondoned and you can just go look around- My old man back in the day ran around in the deserts near sylmar and and a blast- Jess

The car sounds good, Tim.

Did your buddy tap the wall on the way out of the building that one time? :bawl::laughing:

Missed it by THAT MUCH!!! about a foot.

I had the car on gps at 98mph and that was all it had. The truggy hit 104 mph. I guess if I had the tires aired down it would have hooked up better but you can hear it hit the rev limiter as the tires were spinning on that pass. I will learn as I go I guess! duh

awsom bp to bad you guys didnt come get lost with us :beercheers: :shocked2:

Dumont is a long haul for us. About 250 miles or so one way. I will definately get out there again and have the truggy in tow so you can do some more jumping together with him. I might have to join in on that now that I have a car that can handle it.
