sandstarved Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I would channge them both out...you can always ride the wife...but without a sprocket or chain your screwed. Quote
Kitcat Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) Lately my wife has been working alot of evening shifts and for the past couple months has been carpooling with a male co-worker. At first I didn't mind, I would rather have someone with her in case she has car trouble or something like that, but it seems that they have become a little bit more than friends. You know the scenario, the phone calls that hangup, she starts wearing nice clothes to work, talking about him all the time, etc. I don't know what to think. If I'm out in the garage when she gets home (usually after midnight) he just drops her off and leaves, but if the lights are off in the garage and I'm in the house (they think I'm sleeping) they sit out in the car for like twenty minutes. I asked her once what they were doing, she said "just talking"....whatever. So last night I decide that I'm going to see what really goes on out there. I leave the garage door open, but turn out all the lights. About the time she usually gets home, I go out and hide in the garage and wait. In a few minutes, his car pulls into my driveway, and I'm hiding behind my bike. When his headlights shine through the garage and onto my bike, I see something that I just can't believe. The rear sprocket is already worn and hooked but the chain looks OK. Do you think I should change just the sprocket or both the chain and sprocket?? You're a dork! I started reading this and thought, "I can't believe he is posting this on a forum." Furthermore, your wife works with you AND I laughed at the thought of her doing this! I was going to yell downstairs to Mark to come up and read this, until I read the last sentence. Oh wait, I'm still going to yell at Mark to read this, so he can see what kind of dorky friends we really have! Too bad you didn't make it to Dumont. There was a TON of firewood and hoodies there!!! We missed you guys for Halloween weekend. The fire isn't the same without you! Mark got you a Halloween shirt, so you can act like you were there with us! Edited October 30, 2007 by Kitcat Quote

dirty old man Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 You got me on that one. Very funny. That story has been in every hobby site for months, bikes, boats, cars, etc. Still cute Quote
Kitcat Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) I think you do have some cool friends (me).!! We're the cool ones with the hoodies! Just kidding!! Hey, California Casuals sells holiday hoodies. I got one for Halloween! I told Mark we should have got you one, instead of the shirt. Didn't think about that until later - sorry! Are you going for New Years??? We haven't camped with you at the Dunes since we got the toy hauler. By the way, my picture in my avatar is me on one of those big dunes on the left! Mark had me drop down the backside of Banshee for a scary ride! Too bad you weren't there to narrate, when I got stuck on a razor!!! LOL!!! We have to make plans soon to either come up to your place or have you guys travel south to us!!! Edited November 1, 2007 by Kitcat Quote
