These guys play there butts off and I would love to see a nice crowd for them. Here's a link to their site. http://outofthedesert.org/ Hope to see you there. 17. Valley Ranch Animal Hospital 20 N. Valle Verde in the Kohl's shopping center 434-2090 They are reasonable and very nice to deal with. I take both of my dogs there.
  18. You might want to try these dunes also on your way if you can fit it in. I have heard great things about them but never been there. http://www.duneguide.com/sand_dune_guide_killpecker.htm
  19. I agree with you St Anthony's is the best in the summer! Big dunes and your grizzly will be fine there without paddles. You will not be able to climb the steepest dunes but you will be able to have a blast. lowwer your air pressure and you will do fine. People with big bikes and Rhinos go all the way out to devils bowl all the time.
  20. Pete, you going to make day trip the weekend before? The trailer is available. Terry
  21. If I was coming out from back east I would hit the following locations, St. Anthony's Idaho, Oregon Dunes in several locations and on the way home hit Pismo mainly for the beach and a stop at Coral pink in Utah on the way back. I have ridden all these areas and in the summer they are fun and a lot cooler than the heat of Dumont and Glamis.
  22. Got this letter from a friend about the Las Vegas Jeep Club's annual races on Presidents day. I am sorry to see them have to take a break;
  23. That's what I am hoping for no crowds and great dunes! We always camp just a little N/E of crapper #9 in a white Alfa M/H with a TPD Stacker. Come on by and we will go for a buggy ride!!
  24. We are talking about leaving town late in the day on Christmas and staying till Sunday. Should be a quiet weekend and we should be able to get in some good dune time. Anybody elase going then?
  25. Decided to do a quick day trip today since T- Day isn't happening. Walter and his 2 boys and me , what a great day for a run to the sand. Weather was beyond fantastic! Got there about 8:30 and unloaded the trailer and Walt and the boys went off on a ride while I took the car to see if I could fine some other cars to dune with. Met some old school cars that were doing a nice mellow run. Spent a long morning riding and talking. Come to find out they knew some people I know and had by chance attended the last clean up. I gave them some information about FoDD and the web addresses for Friends and for this site. If you end up reading this I had a great time duning with you guys! After lunch I went looking for new peeps to dune with and finally found some big cars to run with but after only a short time one of them had a brake lock up while trying to come out of a nasty hole. I watched for awhile to see if they needed any help but they seemed to know what they were dealing with so off to comp for a cpl of quick runs up the hill. Anyway there was a lot of people already there and as we were leaving they were coming in pretty steadily. I hope the dunes get a good blast from the wind dept. as they are pretty torn up and need some help. Anyway Thanks to walter for driving, it was nice to sit back and relax and leave the driving to someone else for a change.
