What's everyone got planned for 4th of July?

We usually hit the dry lake bed and either blow stuff up or watch others do the same, but this year the BLM is shutting the lake bed down. :( Kinda sucks. They put up a big ole fence along the highway too.

Anyways, I'm curious what everyone's plans are. We're still tossing ideas around, preferably one that don't involve country music and kids everywhere. (I hate when the big fireworks shows play country music as if that is somehow more patriotic.)

Coral Pink...Beat the Heat as well as the sand!! :whoop:

I threw out an invite last month to anyone up there over the 4th to come by for a cold one :beerpint: I'll be at the group campsite in the park.

But I know some other folks said they would be in the meadows...Oh and by the way...Nothing against it ....But there will be no Country Music Playing

Just talked to the ranger station at the camp grounds coral pink is NOT CLOSED the have put some more restrictions on where you can ride, the meadows is open also.

Meaning Coral Pink is small enough without having to deal with this, I don't think I would drive 4 hours and be limited to a smaller ride area. IMO

having only been to Coral a few times. the closures didn't really bother me that much. Other than the area not being marked off fully, going down a trail, then coming up to the backside of a sign. I don't agree with the closures, but riding in the closed area isn't the answer for me.

The one way trail is still open, Pictograph trail still open, Dunes are still pretty much the same to me.

We plan on taking Dirt tires for the 4th and checking out some of the other trails also. I love the dunes, but the trails should be fun. I very interested to see how my wife likes that, as she doesn't like the dunes.

Steve, that would be sweet if you made it to Coral.

Paul, we will have a few witnesses that she will be there. IF she goes through with it. so far she is talking about before I do. I had to save to pay the actress for a long Holiday weekend.

Adam

Great talking to you today...Can you also throw in the trailer a couple of the Amber lens covers as well?

Thanks Dude.... :thumb: see ya in a week!!

Not too sure yet...Maybe Duck Creek, Beaver or Ely...haven't decided. Haven't been to Coral for a long time...might have to throw that around as well. Miss those trails there...we would dune the 1st two days, then one long a$$ trail ride on the 3rd day. Would love to do alot more of the trails out there.
