Right on! That's way better than my first dune rig, like a 1970 sumthin pos that i'm suprised didn't fall apart by the time i got to the dunes every trip i made. That thing scared the hell out of me to tow down the highway.

That's awesome, very nice.

Definately congrats! When I got my 1rst hauler (last year) I never dreamed that it would be so worth it!! I've been staying in tents for years on end, dealing with them blowing away or floating away (pismo, lol)...isn't it so nice to say that those days are over :laughoff:

Sweet! Congrats. The best thing about a new hauler is when you drop your 1st #2 in the bathroom! It's worth every penny to have your own sh*tter out there! :laughoff:

could not agree more congrats bro enjoy the first log dropping youll be like ooooooo yaaaaaaa !!!!!!

Just like my first hauler except that I didn't have a/c and we went out in 100 degree heat to try it out, way freaking hot but as the turd specialist dunefreak says, as long as you can drop a log its good to go! Nice rig.

Usually the TH trailers come with at least a 100 gallon fresh water tank. The usual sizes for the black water and greay water, is 45/40 or 40/50............somewhere in that range.

Congrat's on the new trailer................. :thumb::bump::headbang1::rockon:

Congrats on the TH! It looks like a clean unit!

To check approximate fresh capacity. Time how long it takes to fill a five gallon bucket. Time how long it takes to fill the fresh water tank. Make calculations. Add 6 or 10 gallons for water heater. Can do the same w/ black/gray tanks. While your at it, it would be a good idea to sanitize the water system and do a super flush of the black tank. fill it and let it soak the crud that may have been left behind on sensors etc. UNLESS you know how the previous owners took care of the rig. Check wheel bearings and brake adjustment. Get rid of any tires that say "Carlisle". If the rig came with a battery, think about getting a new one (or 2).

Remember you will be towing your house and toys behind you. It sucks to have a breakdown on an rv. My 2 cents.

Got the o.k. to join the ranks of a toyhauler owner this week. But a bit confused,I have been wondering if a pull trailer or fifthwheel..theres a 2004 35' fifthwheel gearbox thats in good shape for its years and theres a 2005 33' raptor in good condition thats caught my eye. The raptor doesnt have the bedroom size or the shower to my liking, but is more camping friendly with kitchen counter space and has a1 1/2 year warranty left on it. the fifth has a nice bedroom and corner shower with room to pick up the soap..lol..any advise...raptor 1000$ cheaper. :MBdance::beat:

Weigh the good’s and the bad’s on both trailer and see witch one you like better.

All trailers will have things that you don’t really like so you have to find the one that has the least. Good luck hunting!

And welcome to the bourd!!

Either one of these rigs are going to require a lot of truck. a 1 ton (legal) will pull either. a 3/4 ton with airbags (prob. not legal, but lots of peeps do it) will also do the job.

Having pulled both types, I would go for the 5-er EVERY time. The are more stable and aren't as prone to swaying as the pull-behinds.

I have a GearBox 5-er and absolutely love it. Lots of gadgets and very roomy. They are heavy though. Do you have a Diesel or gas?
