  1. Congrats on the RZR Tiff!! What bikes did you guys get for the girls?? Glad you all had a great day...I'm getting my new bike ready for this weekend see ya'll then!
  2. My artist is Jake. He was awesome with taking my idea and creating my piece. I'm surprised, must have just been the artist you used. I've been through 3 sittings for my back piece which was also a cover up and it didn't bruise and healed very quickly. Also the price was much less than other shops quoted me and people are always surprised at how much I paid when they see my tat. I'll be going back to finish the rest of my back at some point. I was going to use RayJ at PussyKat Tattoo since he did my 1st tat years ago and has done many for people I know, but they are booked about 2 months out and were not very friendly or willing to work on a custom piece. I went to Pricz and sat down with Jake and talked to him about what I wanted, gave him some examples and he took it home and drew it up for me, it came out better than I imagined. The cover up is fantastic, can't even tell there was a tat there before. Oh and Shanna (dunejumper) used Tyler for a tat on her wrist, I think it came out great.
  3. I think the hot springs in AZ just over the dam is Ringbolt Rapids Hot Springs, it is a 6 mile round trip. http://www.nps.gov/lame/planyourvisit/hikeazhot.htm The turn off once you get over the dam is really easy to miss, it is just a dirt road that ends in a dirt lot where the trail starts. Do it now before it gets too hot, I did it in July and that is not suggested! The trails in Mt. Charleston are pretty well marked and pretty accurate for difficulty rating and length, suggested to bring a light jacket even in the summer, another lesson learned the hard way.
  4. I've been wanting to do Keyhole Canyon and some other out in Nelson in my truck. I was just reading about some of those between Calville and Valley of Fire also and there is a few I'm looking to do. I just picked up this book that has trails from all around the valley, Great Basin SUV Trails Vol 1. I have done the hike to the hot springs once before, we took the hard way in and the easy way out. I'd like to check it out again sometime. I want to hike the Lost Creek trail and some others in Red Rock. I've been to Mary Jane Falls in Mt. Charleston a few times along with some other trails. I'd like to check out a few more in each place.
  5. Hope she is ok! Someone you know?? And where is that at?
  6. Congrats.... but aren't you trying to sell a quad to pay your bills?
  7. Devcon Plastic Welder or Super Glue Plastic Fusion try a hobby store. Good luck
  8. :jester2: Mark I think you mixed that up, I read on here somewhere your bro-in-law has a SST . Wingnut said he knows Josey, maybe he can get your bro-in-law in touch. He means it the other way around. I read that they were out of business then I read that they were back in business, so I wasn't sure. I'd love to have a SSC , but haven't seen any around for sale. There are a few King and Tom Pro selling and they are a bit $$. Your opinion is appreciated, you probably have the best knowledge of these cars .
  9. There is this 06 SST Hayabusa rail on craigslist for $12500. I believe he also has it on GD.com, but I can't get on there right not to check and I think he has had it listed for a long time without any buyers. So I'm wondering what are the downfalls/negatives of this car? I rode in DuneFreak's last car (the blue one) and loved it. I've heard the SST are not as good at Short Sand Cars and I've heard some good and some bad about SST, but is this car a good, reliable car for just some normal paced duning and is the price reasonable? There are other SST's listed at 13-18k, so why hasn't someone picked this up? Here is the info. • 1300cc Hayabusa Power plant • Hayabusa Gauges • Fox Dual Rate Coil-Over Shocks • Long Travel Suspension • Under Cut Gears • Rear Bead-locks on Sand Tires • Intercom System w/ipod Hook Up • 2 HID's • Fresh 930 cv's • Gold O Ring Chain • Blue Powder Coat • Wing Trunk (Locks) • Sand Tires With Bead-Locks • Street Tires Included • Set Of High Angle Driveline • Removable Steering Wheel • Garmin GPS & Mount • 5 Point Harnesses • Ron Davis Radiator • Tig Welded Suspension Components • Spare Parts • Title is in my name • Garaged ------------------------------------------ •SPECIFICATIONS •104" Wheelbase •79" Wide @ Front With Street Tire •85" Wide @ Rear Tire With Sand Paddles •74" Wide @ Rear With Street Tires •10' 10" Overall Length •20" Front Travel •18" Rear Travel and the info he sent to me The drivers seat is adjustable. I'm the second owner. The frame has never been damaged, bent or rebuilt. I've added extra support in 2 areas. I'll attach photos. The rail is in great condition. I just had the engine serviced (new clutch rod, clutch case, check out) no problems, 4125 k miles show on the gauge. Dale @ SandTrix (sandtrix.com) out of Mesa, Arizona did the supports. The SST rail could have had better support in this area. As you see below the rear carrier has 2 pipe (not powder coated) coming off of it to the frame. FYI - You'll need to do this if you go with another SST (sick sand travel) and want it to be sound. The second picture is supports I added to both sides above the rear A-arms. I added these just for precautionary reasons. They are not powder coated either. Here is the link to the ad. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/rvs/1052993777.html I've already figured out Short Sand Car and Tom Pro are probably the best for hayabusa mini's, but not many SSC's for sale and Tom Pros are going for 30k. There are a few King sand cars for 18k-20k and of course there are a few Sick Sand Travel cars for around 12k-18k, but they usually seem to sell pretty quickly.
  10. Hey Craig....when you get yours done, let me know how much $$. I'm curious for when my self installed cover on my quad starts coming off .
  11. Well if that paint doesn't hold up for you, I was told to use High Heat paint such as this.... http://www.krylon.com/products/bbq_stove_paints/ or http://www.krylon.com/products/high_heat_radiator_paints/ by the painter at my work. I was more concerned with the temp of the motor than gas spills, but for the tank he suggested regular rattle can http://www.krylon.com/products/indooroutdoor_paint/ 3-5 coats with proper prep, sanding and drying time followed by 1 of these http://www.krylon.com/products/uvresistant_clear/ http://www.krylon.com/products/triplethick...al_clear_glaze/ http://www.krylon.com/products/acrylic_crystal_clear/ with about 5 coats of clear. He says as long as you stick with the same brands of paint and use a quality rattle can with the proper technique you can get a finish as good as using professional automotive paint. Or of course you can buy automotive paint and do it yourself also. Going to be my summer project but I'm doing it as cheap as possible. How are you painting the plastics??
  12. I was wondering the same thing . I talked to the painter here at work and he gave me some tips on painting each part and what to use.
  13. You getting some fancy custom seats for those bad boys? Cause I did my own in 5 minutes...

  18. What?? I haven't camped near bathroom 6 with any of those groups all season. I have never been a drinker and I don't drink beer at all, so I'm not sure what the is about......
  19. BaBert needs some handle bars like that! I put 2lbs in the stockers and they ride great, mine climbs to the top of the big part of the finger dune with Bert on it, can you ask for much more out of a :atc: ?? Also it corners fine, nobody roll it sideways when we set up a track last trip and they were going pretty fast !
  20. We will have to try that with cookies and milk
  21. Nope....stop by there to hang out for awhile just like to all the other camps. We have our small quiet circle out in the middle of nowhere, where we can go to sleep at midnight and sleep undisturbed all night and get up early and actually ride all day. It is pretty awesome . It's nice to be able to stop in to visit the crazy camps and be able to leave whenever you want! Thanks, but I doubt it I actually don't really drink and I go to the dunes to and  with my friends, not to and , maybe I am just . I don't mind stopping by and and taking some though!!
