  1. Winds on Saturday sucked , so I slept while Jim watched movies. Saturday night they finally calmed down and we gathered around the fire with Randog and his friends, nice camp . Jodie, Mike, Pauly and friends came over to hang out for a bit . Sunday the dunes were fabulous , we got a few rides in throughout the day. There was no wind, but it was chilly out. Hung out at comp for a bit then found the crash on our way back in. Got home and went to bed . Great weekend. My Chubs and his new friend Yogi hanging out with the guys at the fire. Bed time Windy! Jodie and Mike Pauly needs a car
  2. We arrived just after the 2 people (Zeus and I think the passenger is named Joe) were taken away by the camp host Don. Talked to a guy on a dirt bike that saw it happen, he said he saw the car come up the hill towards the hole going pretty quick then fly off the edge and nose dived straight into the bottom of the hole and flip over. Him and others went to check on the guys and get them out of the car. He said the passenger had a badly broken index finger and hand, the driver busted his knee on the dash and it was pretty messed up, but they didn't seem to have any other injuries. They said the driver told someone to find Richie's camp and bring him back and to get Don the camp host. One guy who witnessed it stayed with the car and a crowd had gathered. Richie arrived with his truck and his friends. The crowd helped push the car back onto his wheels and they hooked it up to Richies truck. Then it was pulled out and hooked up to his truck to tow it back to camp and loaded onto the trailer which Pauly towed back to town. Pics in my album show everything. The hole is out near the south pole west of Comp and everyone seems to agree it is the same hole others have crashed into. The sun would have been slightly to the rear drivers side (it was around 2-3pm), they were heading away from the back flats/straight area, there were basically no tracks in the area and the sand was smooth and hard to read. Hopefully we can hear an update on how those guys are doing. This pic shows the edge of the hole and how it would look flat heading straight off it, the tracks are all from the people who saw it and gathered around. The drop was probably around 20-30 feet, they flew maybe 40-50 feet, my guess. The guy in the blue vest was the one telling everyone what happened, I think the other 2 are his friends who also saw it. They stay from start to finish and helped with everything, great guys. Here is the face of the hill they flew off.
  3. Here are the pics I have. Hope they are recovering quickly. Great Job to everyone who helped out!! http://www.dumontduneriders.com/gallery/th...s.php?album=385
  4. Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west southwest between 14 and 17 mph. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47. North northwest wind 7 to 9 mph becoming south. Sunday Night: Isolated showers after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. South southeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. :mischevious: Looks like the dunes will be nice and smooth from the breeze, chilly night for the fire, overcast good for all day riding, slim chance of rain due after the weekend to clean it up for the next weekend.
  5. I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2 Memphis BBQ is okay....nothing compared to Lucilles and Famous Daves follows right behind. There is a little thai place on 4th street right down by the Fremont Street Experience called Thai Vegas I believe, but they have good food. There is another Thai place, cant think if the name, on Las Vegas Blvd between Charleston and Oakey on the east side of the street if its still there that is really good. :mischevious: There is a nice $$ steak house on the top floor of Binions that I heard was really good, but I never been there. Hugos and Binions steak house are the top 2 places to eat downtown. Anywhere in Green Valley Ranch is great.
  6. Hugos Cellar is in the 4 Queens downtown, they give the lady a red rose with dinner.
  7. Cheese Cake Factory and Lucilles Southern BBQ at Green Valley Ranch
  8. Saw it at SEMA...good looking truck, I said they should have put a Raptor in the bed of it .
  9. but I couldn't help it! :?: Which department does your cop friend work? Not that I worked for the LVMPD or studied law , but http://www.ordlink.com/codes/lasvegas/index.htm and http://municipalcodes.lexisnexis.com/codes...y__annoyin.html . Feel free to research City and County laws here http://www.ordlink.com/codes/lasvegas/index.htm and http://www.ordlink.com/codes/clarknv/index.htm . So, Comp.... I think it is less crazy than the past 2 seasons with less people racing and more people just hanging out, I don't care to do either.
  10. My camera decided to break again. I have a back-up but still didn't take many pics :argue: . New hauler Won the 'bling bling look at me' whip I wanted, its hooked up on the quad with my custom flag attached. Bert rides a Babert sized quad and is a courteous guest, always welcome to stay with us, sorry I forgot the cookies . Good to see Randog & Whit , I'll take Whit out on some rides and have her in no time! Nice to hang with Woody & Shanna  , you both looked great at the ball. Glad the fat dogs had fun together begging for food . 8am rides kicka$$ :black: Following Randog and Vegas Style not so :black: and more like I'm still sore.. at least I flipped it up hill instead of rolling it down . Jim wants to put velcro on my seat, I think I'll try out a new gripper seat . Going home through Pahrump is a much nicer drive.
  11. I agree that the check points should have better or more easily accessible information or more stuff to do. At each station there were so many people waiting to get cards and all the people providing info were super busy talking. Sign boards would be very helpful. A better map/directions :black: the south pole :black: Snacks, drinks, candy or something like that at the check points might be nice for the kiddies and fat guys. Maybe some advertising on the local radio stations or the local news? Prizes, I got the whip I wanted , but maybe things more universal or raffle buckets, like they do at clean-up, for each item so people who don't own a RZR/Rhino don't win parts for it. Everyone loves t-shirts, maybe sell cheap shirts at the registration booth for an extra $5-10, I know they are an additional cost Better timing as in the weekend it is held...seems there would be better turn out if it was on a usual weekend such as Kick-off, instead of between weekends on an off weekend when people are too .
  12. Not saying that I support him, but I did take the time to do a little bit of research on both candidates and I did come across answers to these questions, true or false who knows for sure with all the information readily available on the internet these days. Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii, his father is from Kenya and his mother is from Kansas, his step father is from Indonesia. Obama's $$ comes from...In December 2007, Money magazine estimated the Obama family's net worth at $1.3 million.[176] Their 2007 tax return showed a household income of $4.2 million—up from about $1 million in 2006 and $1.6 million in 2005—mostly from sales of his books and Beginning in 1992, Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years. He also, in 1993, joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a twelve-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then of counsel from 1996 to 2004, with his law license becoming inactive in 2002. Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate in 1996, reelected in 1998, and again in 2002. About the 'Muslim' school he attended in Indonesia...the elementary school in Jakarta is a public and secular institution that has been open to students of all faiths since before the White House hopeful attended in the late 1960s, he attended from the ages 6-10. Akmad Solichin, the vice principal at SDN Menteng 1, who added, "Yes, most of our students are Muslim, but there are Christians as well. Everyone's welcome here ... it's a public school." His mother was an Atheist, his grandparents were non-practicing Christians, his father a Muslim who was only a part of his life for the 1st 2 years, his step-father Saw Religion "As Not Particularly Useful," But Followed "A Brand of Islam" That Made Room for Animist and Hindu Faiths. He is a baptized and practicing Christian. He did put his hand on the bible and swear his oath...Obama's swearing-in ceremony in January 2005 mention specifically that Obama took the oath of office by placing his hand on his own copy of the Bible. The Barack Obama campaign also confirmed that it was a Bible and that the book belonged to Obama. Vice President d*ck Cheney, in his role as president of the Senate, administered the oath. There is also pics if you just search a little. Also he did at times wear a flag pin, if you look around a little you will see that McCain did not always wear one either. There is an American flag on the side of his plane, you can also find pics of that. The pic of him without his hand over his heart is during the singing of the National Anthem not the Pledge and it is customary to face the flag which none of them were doing, but next time you're at an event during the National Anthem look around and see how many people don't have their hands on their hearts and did not remove their hats or don't even stand up. You can also find pics/videos of him with his hand over his heart and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. As for his record as a senator, I'm sure I could find all that info too, but it is time for me to go home. I could also find the same info on McCain if that was a concern. Why wasn't his background picked apart like Obama? Cause he is white? Anyone know how many freak accidents McCain should have died in and miraculously survived during his military career? McCain was born outside the US....where and how is he a citizen?

  18. It's all just guesses and approximation, I think I used 1 bottle of water softener, 2 cups of laundry detergent and 2 cups bleach then filled it and let it sit for a few days. Google Geo Method and there are instructions. It worked well in our tanks, they flush clear now. I used Calgon liquid water softener, find it in the laundry aisle and the stuff for a water softener machine will not work. Hey Nick that is because you know everything about everything . Do you know where I can get some graphics for my PW80? Go to HomeDepot and buy Behr Premium Plus® Porch & Floor Paint No. 6050. :kitty: Boredum....but it is better than useless topics and 'look at me look at me threads'
