  1. Randy...here is the head light, there is also a tail light assembly and all the needed parts. There is also a link with some wiring instructions looks like it hooks to the white square plug. http://www.dratv.com/athekitinwo.html
  2. Hey Cheese.....How are they doing? Is there anything else they still need/could use?? I hope everything is getting better quickly for them .
  3. Here is another on Craigslist in Henderson... http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/mcy/1003884340.html http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/993010388.html :ah:
  4. I saw this on Craigslist last night, thought it would have been sold by now. I told Sand~Snake to buy it.
  5. These were the issues I had mentioned when the buggy was donated, glad to see it has been addressed . Was there any specifics mentioned on the what gear/equipment is being added to the buggy? I'm just wondering how capable it is going to be in an emergency situation. Are they using GPS now? It was mentioned after the Party Heat Dumont show that they have issues locating each other in the dunes. Also I am disappointed that they only have 1 trained driver for the buggy, is that person going to be out there each weekend? Is it really a problem getting people trained to drive it? I mean just the basics would be enough for them to be able to get where they need to go, they don't have to be able to keep up on a rail run . Maybe some rail drivers can volunteer a few hours out of a weekend to ride along with some of their staff in the buggy and teach them some things, just a thought. Something that a few of us were talking about over New Years was having a 'family pass' type program, basically if a family purchases a season pass that they could get a 2nd pass for a non-towing vehicle for a family member to use. Example- (Joe Duner, Bert, Pete, OGP etc w/season pass) tows his hauler out for the weekend and his wife/kids drive out (not towing) for a couple days, that 2nd veh shouldn't have to pay for another pass or should get a discount on 2nd pass. We all know the ways to get around paying for a 2nd veh so they aren't actually making any more money . Just a though . Another thing that was mentioned was having a 'returning pass holder' discount for holiday season pass holders, basically at the beginning of the season if someone turns in the previous years holiday season pass they would get some much $$ off the new holiday season pass. But being that they sold out of season passes this year and made so much $$ they don't have any reason to offer discounts or any incentives on the passes . So they need volunteers to place markers, any word on when they are looking to do this?? I'd volunteer . Thanks for the info Woody .
  6. I got this error..... Outside Constituency. This alert is not available for this ZIP Code. Please click here to see other alerts.
  7. He has the same set-up as us, he could fit the Funco and the Raptor in the hauler and the huntin' quad in the truck...that is 1 heavy load... Jim and I have to take 2 trucks to get both quads, the rail, and firewood. We showed Joe how to squeeze it all in last trip out. Joe....time for some air bags!!!
  8. Did you say ribs ? I'll keep that in mind if we are going to be out there .
  9. Congrats Joe, can't wait for some Joe-Duning rides this weekend. Hey Craig...Didn't think you rode anymore, but maybe if you joined us you wouldn't get stuck on chick rides all the time and we can put Jim behind you in case you can't keep up with Steve's wheelies up the hills
  10. Spelt= a type of wheat did you mean spelled?
  11. I'll drop it off on his doorstep today. When are you picking up from Pete?
  12. I probably have a few things (clothes/shoes/jackets) that will fit the wife or girls, I'll go through my stuff when I get home tomorrow. If I can't get it to someone before the delivery I'll find a way to get it there.
  13. Jim and I went back there last weekend and checked out the area, we figured out this is not the same hole as the 06 incident. We found the witches eye from that incident and it is actually much bigger, but is nearby. That entire area back there was full of holes and pretty dangerous, hopefully the dunes are better for NYE. Awesome, thanks for the update That is a scary story. Did you happen to check out the video after I updated the link? I think they were pretty safe in this incident during the recovery and the tow to camp. A safety guide is a fantastic idea also .
  14. According to the news the fireworks will still be visible throughout the entire valley same as years past but we will be in Dumont for 5 days :gayboy: .
  15. 9 inches in the backyard!! It has been coming down since noon and has not let up. After a cruise around the block I decided to call snowed in to work .
  16. They were extremely lucky and that car held up fantastic!!! None of the pics do it justice, being there and hearing the story while standing there is the only way to understand, other than being a 1st hand witness of course. With 5 point belts they probably would have walked away uninjured and that is amazing. Here is the link to the video of the car being pulled out...OPPS I changed it, I dunno how to use youtube :blonde:
  17. Henderson within the past hour....4 inches in the backyard...
  18. Welcome... Pic #30 is basically where they went over but to the right a little. That pic is where they are starting to pull it out of the hole after they flipped it back over. Richie got it running and drove it to the edge of that wall then hooked it up to the truck, he drove the rail out while someone pulled with his truck. I have video of that part, just have to figure out how to load it tomorrow.
  19. I don't think any weather site has reliable weather for Dumont . The 60mph winds on Saturday were a surprise .
  20. When we pulled in you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you much less the dunes. It kept up like that all day off and on, but never light enough to ride. We headed out once and got caught in it pretty bad and everyone was making a bee line for camp. You couldn't see where the tops of the dunes were with so much sand blowing over them, very dangerous so we headed back to camp.
  21. It was 24 degrees on Potosi on our way home from Dumont yesterday .
