Any certain size or color or do you want the DDR oval logo ones?

I agree Pat. I don't like seeing topics about religion or politics on here either, but (in general chat) we gotta let everyone talk about what's on their minds whether we like it or not (unfortunatley). The worst part is that us moderators are kinda forced to read these garbage topics because THEY are usually the ones that turn into personal attacks and need moderating. I usually try derailing those threads with posts like "I like pizza". :argue:

Badass video, Brian! Looks like they had some fun down there last weekend. I bet those seatbelts are probably mounted too low though. :stir: j/k Thought I'd say it before 1320 could.
-
I thought I said I was already in a bad collision in my car and the harnesses DID their job? Maybe it wasn't hard enough. So how far above your shoulders do the belts need to be mounted to be "certified" as safe? No I'm not trying to compare my stuff to yours. You questioned the safety of most cars on this site and I argued the fact because I know that is false. Sorry, that Sammy cage still just doesn't look safe to me. I have seen many sandrail wrecks and many of these cars these days come out just fine as well as the occupants. You seem to have a real thing for arguing saftey. What car IS safe out at the dunes? Is a certified trophy truck safe in your opinion? Or are we only talking about SEAT BELTS here? :?:
-
As a matter of fact, you are wrong. I know for a fact that my belts are mounted correctly and work. My last car was in a very hard hitting accident with a 2500 lb+ car. I was going about 20 mph, he was going about 35 mph. We clipped each other very hard and we both walked away from it. No, it wasn't head on, but it was a very hard hit that tested the integrity of the harnsesses and their ability to do their job. I know what you are saying. No...sandrails aren't really crash tested like major auto manfacturers, but they are pretty damn safe. The dunes are very dangerous and require alot of skill to navigate and ride safely. They aren't forgiving at all in a crash as most would think. No sandrail or vehicle in the world is indestructible or going to prevent ANY injury from happening. G force is G force and that is what causes injuries. Hell...take a damn trophy truck, nascar, 66 nova, whatever...and come up short on a big azz double or nose it into a dune or witches eye- you are gonna have major inuries such as spinal fractures. The biggest thing you can do to avoid injury is to not run out of talent. Post up a pic of that samurai you have Jon. Let me pic that thing apart! Here we go again.

well put :argue:
-
WTF are you talking about Jon? :argue: Everyone I know on this site has very safe cars with safety equipment that is in great shape.

holy crap. Can't take a joke? anyyyywayyyyyssss.............. I'm super stoked about the weekend. Weather looks awesome, rail is all prettied up and ready, and I think I got all my chit together.

Hot Springs camp ground. That sucks about the dude's motorhome.
-
Sh*t! we did? Now I gotta go check my chit! This topic sucks. I think I have read all this same EXACT stuff...every year after Halloween weekend. Fuggin deja vu! :argue:
-
Well let's put it this way. If there was a competition for understanding things, YOU'D LOSE! Can't wait for this weekend to come. Weather looks like it will be pretty cooperative.

Last night the phone ran about every 5 nminutes. After a while I'd just pick up the phone and hang up without even saying hello. I hung up on my mom twice in a row. :headbang1:

I doubt metalalien was the guy w/ the BIG camera. I heard there was a camera guy that was running around w/ the LEO's. Maybe more TruTV footage for future episodes.
-
yep, that's his uniform!
-
Thats great news Jon!

On You Tube the title says..."He didnt see my Spotter" Umm, isn't the spotter suppossed to SEE him and prevent the jumper from jumping if te ecoast isn't clear. If there was a spotter, one or both of those riders hould have been stopped.
-
I don't think you typed it all for nothing. She was unsure till you posted up. BTW: I updated the poker run info page for people like skyz.
-
Kickass video, Eric!! Awesome job as usual.
-
Exactly my point.
-
Scary. Hope the kid on the QUAD is ok. Just another reason why NOT to wheelie on big weekends or where riders are present.
-
The map was just to show where the meet up/ registration spot is. Those spots would take 2 minutes to finish if that was the case! They were just on the map to help point out some landmarks in the area. Freakin skyz

Trash Bags In Pick Up Beds Or Open Trailers
dunefreak replied to SandBlasted's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
Did you guys pick em up? Time to make a new banner for the homepage. "Strap yo trash, fool!!!" This has been discussed many times at the TRT meetings. They need to put a sign up on the way out as a reminder to those who don't know about the concept of how pickup beds create a vacuum of air that lifts chit up and out of the back. The sign should just say something like make sure your trash bags are secure in your trucks (ma fackas). -
That's what it looked like but we weren't sure. Looked like a Ranger pickup or similar. no problemo ouch! stupid really does hurt Hope he's alright. You're very welcome. Thanks for representin, Brian.
