  1. I too am thankful that the guy was arrested. It isn't right that someone is able to live their life without being accountable. It was unfortunate that the accident happened but he needs to be held accountable for his actions. Not to take away from this tragic event but my wife's nephew was killed right outside of the Merced/Atwater area by a drunk driver that was going the wrong way on Hiway 99 after a stint at a bar in the area. She was convicted and will spend 10 years in jail. He was in the navy and was going to Sacramento from San Diego to visit his dad for the holidays. Both sad events caused by bad decisions.
  2. I will be looking to staff up for the 2014 Season. A couple would be perfect. A full hook up site might be provided in exchange for 4 or 5 hours a day of work. Additional hours could paid also. The diner just serves breakfast on Sat and Sunday from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. The general store is open 7 days a week for sales and taking reservations. Customer service, sales experience and computer skills are needed and relations are very important and we strive to make every one want to return. The main duties would be to keep our showers and bathrooms clean and sanitary. Keep the grounds clean and picked up. We also have two rental trailers on site and the maintenance of these units is included. https://www.idahodunesrv.com/index.php Check out the website for a good look at what we are and do. PM me if you are at all interested and more information.
  3. Does anyone still have any of the large DDR stickers, like the 6" by 3 or 4 foot for the back of a Toy Hauler. I sure would like to represent at Idaho for DDR next season. Thanks, the old man!
  4. Thanks Terry but I've already made plans to camp with someone else close to Neal. We'll be close to BR 3 if I don't stay on the bluff as usual. It's an extended family thing. And boy do I have stories. It was an interesting year for sure.I look forward to getting together and sharing some of them and having a drink with the OLD FART!
  5. I haven't been to the sand in so long! I think I'll go the weekend before. I may just stay until April 15th when we open at Idaho...LMAO
  6. Any chance of some interior pictures? Year, Mileage etc.
  7. Kudo's to you for making it another year. That should make Ken A. Happy. Only you and I know what that means. LMAO. I do have a present for you when we get together. Have a Happy B-Day old timer!
  8. Just for information. Saint Anthony Dunes remained open during the shut down. Why? Because the BLM doesn't even patrol Saint Anthony Dunes. The local sheriff does. They have one or two Deputies that have a trailer office at the BLM campground. They along with our Dumont friends Sand Crab and Sand Flea ( Campground Hosts and Volunteers @ Egin Lake) do rescues and the Sheriffs do rescues and sometimes patrol the dunes. The BLM did shut down the campground but the day use area and the store stayed open. There are only three official entrances to the dunes. The BLM Egin Lake access, Idaho Dunes RV and Sand Hills Resort. Sand Hills shut down a week early and the shutdown took care of Egin Lake so that left us the only game in town. We stayed open for an extra weekend to pick up the slack. We had quite a few Utah, Idaho and Montana visitors make the extra time good for us and they enjoyed a good last ride of the year. Maybe BLM should do the same at Dumont since they are always complaining about lack of funds to service Dumont and other recreation areas in their district. Seems like we always see more of the San Bernardino people anyway. Egin Lake BLM charges $5 for day use, Sand Hills doesn't allow Day Use from their Campground and We only ask for people to buy something in the store for day use. Drink, candy bar whatever. The best part is that there is no fee to ride the dunes, no passes, no check points etc. All three campgrounds have direct access to the dunes Pat
  9. Personally I would like to see a lot more details, like travel front and rear, miles or hours on the motor etc. It is a decent price but more details and pictures would help with a sale.
  10. If that rail would fit in my toy hauler I would be interested for sure. Give me the overall length. The width of the front end and the width of the rear. I have 13 feet and 70 inches to get a car in my hauler in the front and more in the rear!
  11. Unless it has changed in the last few years Onan Carbs kits aren't available through Onan. It was always a new carb for me. At that time it was always about $70 dollars for just about any replacement part for an Onan. Now days it probably twice as much. forget the labor, that is sky high!
  12. He doesn't need a discount. He needs a huge loan to get into that place and then a discount!
  13. Better make sure your bids are in Canadian dollars. They are worth somewhat less than American money.
  14. That's pretty common to have people passing "Rap" He'll get there some day!
  15. LOL.........Every one with the B**l"s is welcome to Idaho Even you flat billers........ Have a good one Ltr..... Yes even Californians are welcome! LMAO
  16. Sounds like fun...shoot, I haven't been on a ride since last night when Neal and I ripped up the Idaho Dunes and he even got a couple of pictures. You guys just have to check this place out next season. It's worth it!!!
  17. J and S Diesel south of Trop next to I-15 on the frontage road.
  18. It all depends on the suggested retail price. I hear the 4 seat Can Am Maverick is going to be or is about 23K. And now we have to wait another model year to see the Polaris prices. I knew they wouldn't stand for Can Am out powering them!
