what's everyone been up to?

I don't see alot of talk about the dunes lately, yet there's always a ton of peeps online. Maybe everyone is just about done for the season. If that's the case, let's hear what else you all have been up to. And don't say work. Everyone works (except for OGP :flipoff::beat: )

As for me, I have been gearing up hard to start hitten nearby places to ride. With this really nice spring weather, I have made it a goal to ride every weekend and maybe even once or twice during the week after work if the day permits. These longer days might allow for a quick fix. Most of our trips we had planned are on hold until work picks back up. But in the meantime, there are so many places that we forget we have to explore around Vegas. I am really looking forward to getting my old YZ250 sold and start shopping for a newer dual sport 650. :ban-split:

Other than riding, Anna & I have just been doing a couple improvements around the house and enjoying each other's company. We find that during slower periods at work, we go out a little less and stay in. There's nothing like enjoying a backyard fire, grilling up some meat and tossing back some cold beers. :shake:

So if you were inclined enough to click and read this topic, go ahead and post up anything that you have been up to lately. Did you dog crap on the floor? How about your kid's newest stupid thing he or she does? Maybe you have been sitting on your a$$ staring at the wall for the last 4 weeks? Did you organize your sock drawer? Let's hear about it. :old:

I will bite:

Got allot of new things going on with myself and the family. Firstoff the kids (4 & 6) are on a t-ball team together and they are really good and the team is good to boot. We have games on the weekends and 1 game during the week. I also started playing fast pitch baseball again along with my boxing class so I am pretty busy with sports I thought I would never do again.

I have to thank my wife and body for the change I have had in the last year with working out and doing allot of activities for the body to keep in shape. Thankgod i am able to play baseball and still hit the gym 3 times a week.

I am trying to get back to the sand since it's been a year that I had a bike but the camping trips hold me over. I am in the market for a quad or a dirt bike but my love for my diesel truck has most of the cash consumed right now, it has to be 1 thing or the other for me since spending money on bills and family comes first..( never thought that would happen)

Heading to the river this month, have a trip planned to Sequoia in June and some pismo trips if I score a bike, looking to try a 2 wheeler since I have never rode one in my life.

Oh ya the other thing called work, Playboy entertainment has kept me busy and paid with a good 9-5 gig that is a blessing and I cant complain. Free porn and cute chicks all day..

Other than that just trying to stay ahead of the game money wise and family wise, gotta love it!!

Back to the soccer feilds for us, Its the last season for my youngest daughter, now 17, she has been playing since she was 5. She was suposed to Race in the Stateline Supermoto next week but a blown top end on her yfz kind of put the kabosh on that.

Now its time to focus on the big event of the summer.......My oldest daughter is getting married in June. My youngest is graduating on the 11th and my oldest getting married on the 12th. Talk about a tough weekend.

With lots and lots of planning to do for both events, I think we will be staying quite busy for a while. I must also add that we are going to try to sqeeze in a couple of riding trips to Williams Arizona and a couple to Utah for the summer. Wish me luck

Work and lots of it.

Lots of changes and improvements around the office have kept me tied up. Including a trip to chicago over easter weekend.

I have been enjoying wrenching on the new quad and cant wait to try it out in the desert. Also lookin foward to some two wheeler rides with the freak. Just need to pull apart the carb on the XR and figure out why the float and needle keep sticking.

I need to do some painting on the house and some stucco repair apparently my depth perception gets a little out of whack when i have a couple coldies in me and i backed into the wall at the house oops. And there is this nice giant black soot mark on the wall from me letting the truck warm up and idle backed so close to the house. Still need to get my garage plumbed and wired up for the air compressor and going to install some huge a$$ concrete anchors in the garage and start locking all my toys together after the tweaker run in over the past weekend.

I've been on an emotional rollercoaster lately. I've been all down in the dumps about work being slow; yet that gives me time to go play...on a budget. A few weeks ago my wife tells me we're expecting. Caught myself staring at the wall wondering how to pay for that. We weren't trying...even trying not to with birth control. On the upside though, she went to her first ultrasound only to come home telling me we're expecting TWINS :beat:

I'm truly stoked! The boating season will have to be minimal, and next sand season will get a late start, but my funco will have full seats for every trip! There is a lot of excitement brewing amongst the families.

:old: Maybe I'll post an ultrasound 4D shot in a couple of months under the "future DDR duners" thread! :ban-split:

I'm not done yet! Day trip to Dumont on the 17th to blow off steam from a EXCESSIVE amount of weekend home remodeling/addition. Drywall, tape, mud, remove ceramic tile, lay ceramic tile (with mosaic patterning), base boards, door trim, paint, plumbing fixtures, etc. ..... think I'm about to loose my mind. :beat:

Then it's on to the boat and duallie for needed maintenance before Havasu season starts again, looking forward to that! :ban-split:

Anyone else going to be out there on the 17th?

Guess I will chime in.

The past 4 weeks have been very busy with a trip to Glamis on the 20th and then a over Nighter to Dumont on the 26th.

Last week ( Easter) We rented a party Bus for 40 Peeps for my Sister In laws 40th. The bus never showed up. Well it did but it kept going. Bastards. We ended up heading out to restaurant and listened to music till the AM Hours.

Sunday had A Easter Party. Two birthdays and the Kids had a blast.

My days and recent few years have been flying by so quickly I can not seem to find the time to get everything done. To many plans and not enough time.

I am relocating closer to my work. I currently for the past 8 years have been traveling 150 miles a day to get to my Facility. I Have been looking in the Old Town Pasadena Area which is only 16 miles each way and plan on moving by the first week of May.

I then will be renting out my House and I will have to do a few up grades to make it move in ready. This will keep me busy over the next few weeks. Then once I move in the new place the un packing and purchasing of new Furniture will be fun.

Last year I only took out my Boat once and I plan on taking it out at least 6-8 times. I would like to see another DDR Havasu Invasion. I missed out on the one in 2008. Let do it...Yiah. Open to any time in the summer.

I hope to get one day trip to Dumont in preferably on April 24th.

I have my Anniversary on April 17th. Going to the Conga Room across from the staples center.

My last trip for this month will be Vegas. Most don't know I have a step son whom I have taken care of since he was 8. He turns 21 on 04*/27. So Vegas is where I have chosen to take him. We are heading out on April 30th. Staying till Monday morning. :ban-split::old:

To think past the second part of may it will be hard My youngest daughter turns 6 05/25 we are planning a trip to Disney land. I have some 4fer tickets and they will expire in August. Have not used once yet. Time is running out.

My older Daughter will turn 9 in August and it will be up to her what she wishes to do. Damn Spoiled kids. I know but When I grew up I did not have ISH.....

I am open to any trips planned to Coral Pink during the hot summer days. Give me a couple weeks notice I will be there.

Sorry If I bored you with only my next months Agenda.

Is it October yet.... :beat:

Heading out to Dumont this weekend. After it starts getting to hot for Dumont I start my summer ghost town explorations and photo shoots. I usually take my red manx buggy and head out in the desert looking for old settlements, mining camps, or anything interesting. If I need a sand fix, I'll head to Pismo. Most stuff is just day trips on weekends. Work is always busy in the summer.

I know you said don't say work, but i've been doing a ton of that. In between that i've started compiling the parts I need to finish re building my quad that I blew last april. (07 yfz450 with a 511 stroker big bore kit stuffed inside) Basically just needs to be jetted now so I'm pretty stoked about that so I can start going to Oceano dunes about once or twice a month.

Forgot to add, I also threw a DDR sticker on it, so it should run like a scolded dog now!

Sweet, we do a week up at Shaver lake every year for labor day. I heard they were going to drain it. Have you heard anything about this? Maybe they'll knock out some of those boat sinking boulders lying just under the surface unmarked.

:ban-split: Thanks everyone for the congrats on the twins; gonna be adding on to the house too, more than likely :beat:

Packing one house... transporting boxes, furniture, etc.. unpacking them in the new house! Right now we are both floating in a sea boxes. :shake: But the hauler fits at home. :old:

Been hitting the drive in with the kiddies, much more economical way to go, and more fun to be able to kick it with your own cooler and lay the seats flat so that the kiddies can watch the movie wrapped in their blankies in the back of the HHR, just saw "How to Train Your Dragon" Highly recommend it! :flipoff:

This weekend its finish unpacking and organizing on Sat and off to take the kiddies to the Clark County Fair on Sunday! They have never been to the fair, so really looking forward to that.

Next weekend Gosa.

Trying for a trip to Roos n More Zoo at their open zoo day in May.

Memorial weekend, its flying to Washington, grandpa's ashes ceremony (he passed New Years Eve Day) tie up some loose ends, prepare a refugee to the trip in a Ryder truck to Vegas as we are finally going to put the family home on the market, it will be a bittersweet trip :old:

June holds the excitment of Washington refugee, aka: my son, Michael moving to Vegas :ban-split:

And I have pretty darn good seats for the musical Cats, which will be in town June 10-13th! :beat:

So pretty much for us, its been hanging out and doing things as a family, have some more trips to the parks, picnics, evening walks, and just in general getting out before it gets to hot.
