Noob sharing his roll overs.

1. Back when I had my Banshee I was trying to be "Mr. Cool Guy" circling the trucks in a slide, which I managed to do for a while all of a sudden I high sided, but had a cool superman dismount while the bike rolled over. To bad it was right in front of a big group of people.

2. Halloween weekend a few camps from the mysterious DDR balloon, my brother (drunk) climbed the finger and stalled. He got it restarted but could not get turned around without getting stuck. I tried to help him spin around the front end, but he did not lean up hill so the quad rolled. It was in the dark so I could not see him, but when I called for him he was laughing and when I asked where he was, he said under the bike. He was laughing so I knew he was alright we got the quad straightened out and rode it back down and parked it.

I didn't flip this one, but I wouldn'tbe here if it weren't for aceisback

we were in a group ride, and i was behind aceisback. we were climbing a dune, and he was about 15 yds in front of me, and for some reason, he turned back down. I had 2 choices...1 turn right at speed, anddrop down a steep dune, or 2 hit aceisback

before i could react, i hit him, and I went off the back, tumbling down the dune 2 times. when I came face up stopped, aceisback is leaning over the front of his bike, holding onto mine, which was about to roll down 10-15 yds at me.

dude saved my life, i think.

Well, redfaced as I speak, I missed a shift and lost momentum so I had no choice at the moment. I am glad that I caught your bike though, it was headed right for you. That big old heavy pig would have stuck in the sand before it reached you though. I think.

So, Saturday night at Glamis during the Hella storm that rolled through, I'm behind my buddy and see him launch what looked like straight up into the air, not wanting to land the Sand Pig on him I backed off ever so slightly. When he landed a huge wall of sand 'bout knocked me off of my bike, enough so that I didn't make the jump. Rolling backwards in the dark at about a 45 degree angle so I can build up some speed to make a second attempt I got to far into the edge of the bowl and befor I knew it over we went. The DS rolled three times while I scurried on my hands and knees like a little beotch to get out from under that thing. Never any need to have a 500 pound machine pummel you into the sand. Especially in the dark, in the middle of Glamis. We were between China Wall and Gecko road, on the way back. Could have been gnarly but I came out with only a slightly bent fender support. Can't beat Bombardier's durability.

That sorm this weekend made for some the best dunes I have ever encountered. Not one track to be found in all of Glamis, I swear. Smooth as water.

Lets see if this will qualify:

This was a long time ago, was out with a buddy late one night having fun. We were hitting this dirt (farm) road beside the pavement at a decent speed. A pretty tight little curve came up on us and wouldn't you know a damn deer jumped out in front of me. Tried to swerve a little and the front tire caught a rut and flipped it 2 and half times and came down on the pavement on it's top. Slid across the pavement into a little bankment. I was thrown half way out on one of the turns and it pushed me across the pavement. In that little runoff a little tree about 3 inches in diameter stopped it from rolling over one more time. Would have snapped my back like a pretzel. We were about a half mile from any house and my buddy ran to it to call for help. The way the truck was laying, took them about 30 minutes to get me out. Result: totaled truck, broken clavicle, broken scapula, broken nose, almost 40 stitches different area's and really sore for quit sometime. Almost didn't let me in the Corps, I was bummed. Missed my ship date until the end of summer, so I could heal enough to go. Here's a couple pics of the truck, couldn't get any at the scene as I was still inside. Pics aren't to good as I took them from a photo with my digital.....Semper Fi, Woody :laughoff:

I just had to break my 'silent lurker' status for this one....

WAY back in 1984 when i was 18 and unbreakable I was trying to show off in a sail rail. after a few jumps and donuts, it was time for my grand finale... I was headed straight for the road where everyone (including the buggy owner) was standing, and tried to do a powerslide. The rear tire caught the road and i rolled it over. Since I unbreakable, I didn't bother with those wrist straps. So when it rolled over, I grabbed the top roll bar. Well, the stupid thing rolled over onto my hand and broke just about every bone in my hand, including severing the pinky. Luckily a doc was able to sew it back on. It doesn't work, but it does remind me that I am indeed breakable.

i have one me and sincity400 were riding in his rhino at sand hollow. he was driving and we were both had our seat belts on. so we were going down this big hill but not steep at all and we were hitting a series of jumps.

so we his this one doing about 30-35 mhp flew about 20ft and the front bumper hit and started the full 2 flips one without anything touching the ground. we landed and i was like WTF :porn: after i got the sand out of my everything went and picked up my sunglasses that fell off my head during the flips (unbroken)! :beerpint: ! and picked up the stuff that was in the bed and the top for the battery box even got knocked off.

then we jumped back in and we were off back to camp. jumped in the lake to get the sand off then we were all good :beercheers:

Stolen from Michael's "Saftey Equiptment"

Does this count?

Hi I am new here, my mom told me about this site and I thought since you guys are all into quads, buggys, and such, that I would share my story. While this didn't happen at Dumont it still involves a sand rail. I have enjoyed riding my quad and in the rails of my stepdad and his friends for several years. I look forward to riding and camping everytime I visit my mom. I live in Wa State. I came down to visit for Christmas vacation looking forward to another ride somewhere. This time we chose to stay close to home and went to Johnson Valley. We had only been in camp for a couple of hours whenit was time to go for a ride. I opted to ride with one of friends in his rail. He had been driving for many years and I trusted his driving ability. So I just hopped in, strapped in and away we went. Where we head was a dry lake bed cruising along, going a good speed, but not too fast. Somehow we ended up further down the bed then we thought, it was after dark. At the end of the lake bed is a small wash. The next thing I remember is the feeling of flying, then came the impact as we slammed into the side of the wash, I felt a feeling of moving forward, then nothing. I opened my eyes and knew something was wrong, my head was in the dirt and I could see my friend hanging above me. I heard my mom call my name asking if I was ok. I knew I was going to be ok after that. My friend was a differant story. He was in and out of conciousness and was hanging by only the lap belt. It was very scary to see and be a part of that. While my straps held his shoulder straps had not, they broke. I ended up with a head contusion and a shattered ankle. He ended up with a pancake sized blood clot in his brain and a broken knee. He spent almost a month in a coma. While he is out of a coma and is on the slow road back to recovery, I don't know if he'll ever be the same. I know I won't. I have already been back on my quad, went Christmas day not knowing ankle was shattered, was told it was just a sprang by emergency room. I am looking forward to spring break to get back in a rail, I am ready. But I just wanted to remind everyone to check your safety equipment. If we had, my friend's harness would be new and he wouldn't have hit his head. Sometimes you over look things like that. Everyone take care out riding the dunes and be safe.

Well it happened at the buggy round up. A few of us were going to make a short run came into a corner a little hot and when straight off into the air. The person following said that the car over couple times landed on the roof. No one hurt, roof damage and trailing arm.

Oh no!! Well now she n a bud have matching roofs. I hadn't heard yet.

I'm assuming no damage other then maybe dented roof?

Yeah just very minor stuff. Dented roof panel and a broken headlight I think was all.

i counted 4 on the lid over the weekend

Sandjoker, Tracy, Chris M, and who else?
