  1. Great Info Another option to look into if it is available to you is AFLAC, the accident plan covers ambulance and flight for life transports along with paying cash to you if you are in the hospital and pays for your family to stay in a nearby hotel to be near you if needed and all kinds of other little things. The intensive care plan is another to look into.
  2. Congrats Angela and Pauly Welcome to the world Tyler can't wait to see you all
  3. What are you talking about.....you are old enough to be a grandpa too Congrats Don and family
  4. Print up a bunch of these and post them in the bathrooms, they can be used for reading material and to wipe your if the TP is gone. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/dune_flyer.pdf Maybe the Vendors would be willing to hand them out to each customer . Would be nice if the Rangers could hand them out at the entrance also or at least have them available at the ticket machines...put them in those containers like on house for sale signs?? Maybe they could hand them out to every person they stop and every camp they have to visit? And to the guy in the purple VW 4 seater beam car with the big flag who camps down past 3 towards the way to the little dunes...slow down!! We have seen this car on a few different trips out speeding through camps..no rangers were out there to do anything though.
  5. 1st mods after getting tires you like...High flow air filter and exhaust= $250....my 400 is faster than stock stuffed up 450's. The rest depends on what you don't like or would like improved on your bike. Do you like the feel of the suspension or is it too stiff and you feel like you are being thrown off of it on bumps and jumps?? Have you loosened up your stockers yet?? Cheapest route is to re-valve and re-spring the stock shocks. Next cheapest is to buy some used aftermarket shocks, best to find on a honda forum. Cheap things I've changed on every bike just for comfort are the handle bars=$60, grips=$20, seat cover=$30, nerf bars=$200, bumper and grab bar=$100... Ebay and bike specific forums for the best deals. Good Luck Edit: You can get the stock shocks rebuilt for about $400 front and $400 rear. This place has had good reviews on the other forum I'm on and their turn around time is supposed to be really quick. http://www.gtthunder.com/450R.htm
  6. Arrived Saturday morning with just the quads....sand was so smooth, a little damp in some places and really soft in the high areas. We could ride all around the dunes and never come across another person. Perfect conditions for some high speed dune runs . Stopped by Mike and Jodi's camp a few times and nobody was ever home, couldn't find them in the dunes either . YFZ started to have some issues on the sunset ride, so time for camp fire and dinner . Can't think of many things better than sitting around the fire at the dunes and it being oh so quiet. Sunday morning we had some fiddling to do on the bikes, got them ready to ride and headed out for the day. Jodi was over it, but we started to follow the rails with Mike till his buddy had a problem and we took off on our own. Had some issues with both bikes, but we made the best of it and kept riding. Sand was getting a little torn up, but not too bad...will be pretty bad by the weekend unless some major wind comes through. Saw Jill and Charlie start to follow us on a ride, but we had to make it back to camp...sorry guys . Tank, the new puppy, had no accidents in the trailer :xmas8: and this was his 2nd dune trip. He's going to make a great dune dog. Lots of people were showing up throughout the day, going to be packed for New Years. By the time we left Sunday night most of the finger dunes had been taped off with metal stakes and caution tape and the entrance road was terrible. Off weekends are the best .
  7. I'm pretty sure we have 175 main, 45 pilot, 2-2.5 turns on the screw, and the needle in the middle. Stick with a 45 pilot and pick up a 170, 172 mains to tune. Stock pilot should be 42. We have a full Yoshi, K&N filter and no lid, cam mod. Aaron (sand700r) tuned it for us and now it runs great. Sully's cycle shop in Henderson carries the individual jets for cheap. Cycle Gear and Ride Now never had them in stock and tries to sell the kit, don't buy the kit.
  8. Wow, that place is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing those awesome pics .
  9. Nick (Moparskin) :shout: Post up some pics of your lights and show them all how it is really done .
  10. Yup, the metal ones are very hard to find and if the plastic is going for $65 what would the stock ones go for?
  11. http://www.sterdyproducts.com/productcart/...p?idCategory=47 $145 for the parts to make a complete seat and that seems to be the going price from all places that have them. Only place I had better luck was Ebay. :atc:
  12. I think he had too much going on that weekend to remember about the tires . :shout: Craig...hook a girl up so she can be my riding partner!
  13. We might head out on the 26th with just the quads . Jodi, I'll keep an eye out for you in the dunes and we will jump in on your line , glad to hear you are having a better time keeping up with the guys .
  14. The 2nd one you posted is Joe Duners.
  15. I think you're talking about my post...Dunelover was riding a Raptor 700 with the ITP Sandstar set-up and having a hard time, we put Skat Trak Extremes 21x12x8 (I think, can't check right now) 8 paddles on Douglas Blue Label 8" rims and she was able to go everywhere. She said one of the biggest differences was how the rear end didn't get squirrelly on her when side hilling and she didn't slide around so much or feel like she had to fight with the bike. I suggest 21" Extremes on 8" rims with 8 paddles. But I don't think you would see a significant difference in the Haulers or Extremes if you found a good deal on one or the other then go for it. I'm sure others will chime in with more 'technical' info, but for overall duning and improvement on your ride quality look for some Skat Trak straight paddles used and don't be overly concerned with haulers or extremes, 8/9/10" rims, etc. I was going to suggest you check out the Yamaha and Raptor forums, but saw that you already are . Good deal here> http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/mcy/1496723349.html
  16. I used Dratv.com http://dratv.com/atvsnowplows1.html for most of my parts, others from Ebay.

  20. How much are you willing to spend??? Nevermind, just saw you bought a 4 wheel 70 instead.... I'll sell my atc70 for the right price
  21. You guys got it all wrong, there is dirt and rocks in those pics!! Congrats, get ready to start dropping some more $$$$...accessories, bigger truck, toyhauler it never ends.
  22. :shout: We have 3 quads and only 1 gets ridden....5 seats in the sand rail and 1 occupant (hint hint). You guys don't have to have your own toys to come out to the dunes and play .
  23. Glad to hear your recovery is going well, thoughts are with you and the family :foshizz: .
